Sa Sariling Lupa: Cultural Tourism Documentaries was conceptualized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in 1999 in collaboration with the Department of Tourism (DOT), the National Historical Institute (NHI), and the National Museum (NM) for the promotion of cultural tourism in the Philippines' ten anchor destinations, namely: Rizal / Laguna, Davao, Cebu, Baguio / Banaue, Laoag / Vigan, Bohol, Palawan, Manila, Intramuros, and Panay.
